An Experience of Zen Master Genpo Roshi’s Big Mind
led by David Shoji Scott Hoshi, Saturday 16 February 2008
Thursday evening meetings have moved to Tuesdays.
Meditation sessions
An informal group gathers in the Quaker Meeting House for weekly meditation sitting and tea.
We also include practicing walking meditation, chanting, listening in a non-judgmental way, and open discussion on chosen topics.
Meeting times and announcements are posted here.
Affiliation
The group is connected to the White Plum lineage, and we are very fortunate to be periodically visited by qualified successors and ordained teachers–they have received Dharma Transmission–who travel from overseas to run a number of yearly retreats.
The lineage was established by Taizan Maezumi Roshi (1931–1995), who devoted his life to establishing a firm foundation for Zen in the West.
